Drowning in Work

We devote wholly

Drowning in normality

We seek to excel

This haiku is about how our very means of survival are drowning us and keeping us from living the life we desire. Everybody knows we have to work to survive. So, we devote our time to our jobs and give our all. We may hate it; we may desire a career that we feel more passionate about or one that affords more time for what we love. We feel that the very thing we need to survive is drowning us in mediocrity.
